"Eleven?" That's the typical response when anyone finds out how many pets Jen has. She's what we call an animal super-fanatic! It doesn't matter whether it barks, mews, snorts, clucks, hops or swims, she has opened her home to many pets in need. She understands that each pet has their own story and is driven to giving them a second chance. Jen applies this same super-fanatic care and understanding to Healthy Paws, working with clients to provide the best care for their pets. Her experience in managing veterinary hospitals, medical knowledge and understanding as a pet parent compliments her dedication to making a difference in a pet's life.
It’s a good thing that Oona’s dog is known for his energy, because you’ll never see these two stop running around. If this duo isn’t at work, you can find them hiking in the Cascades, attending an adoption event, running to the dog park (with at least one other dog in tow) or grabbing a coffee with friends (at a dog-friendly coffee shop, of course). Wherever she goes, Oona takes her passion for animals with her, and in her role as Healthy Paw’s marketing and PR director she plans to educate everyone she meets – and she means everyone – about the importance of pet health insurance and how we’re not only helping enrolled pets, but working to motivate pet parents to do more for millions of other homeless pets around the country.
If you ask Rob about his pets, better brace yourself for the full 411 on his four-legged pack. You'll hear about Turner and Lily, whose recent adoption helped Rob become a card-carrying member of the Foster Failure Group. And then there's Lola, an adorable Bulldog who is the poster child for pet insurance, with several surgeries beneath her belt. Rob may also mention that he has a passion for those kids with two legs. For the past 15 years, his two non-profit foundations focused on youth development, helping kids in his local community acquire the essential skills to be successful in life. Healthy Paws allows Rob to leverage his experience and expertise as an insurance industry executive while still pursuing his passion to help pets and the people that love them.
Steve is a full-on obsessive-compulsive dog walker. Going for the world record in daily walks, Steve's figured that his husky mix, Daisy, has averaged 6 miles of walks per day since she was adopted. Over seven years that's close to 15,000 miles, and they are both the healthier for it! Steve brings this same passion and dedication to Healthy Paws, obsessing about things such as great care for pets, great customer service, and saving the lives of homeless pets. Steve's found time for non-walking activities too. Steve brings a wealth of animal welfare experience to the team as a former executive director of a no-kill animal shelter and many years as a management consultant.
