	What is Covered	All your vet bills associated with diagnostic tests, surgeries, hospitalization, supplies and prescription medications (including genetic conditions).	Reasonable costs* that arise from an injury or illness. *The usual and customary fee for a given treatment or procedure within the geographic area in which fees are incurred.
	What is Not Covered	Pre-existing conditions Hip dysplasia for pets that are 6 years or older at time of enrollment.	Pre-existing conditions Extra costs for treating your pet outside of usual surgery hours unless your veterinarian certifies that an emergency consultation is needed.
	Policy Payout Limits	Over the life of your pet there are no limits per year, per claim, per illness, per procedure or per condition.	$8,000, $12,000, or $20,000 per year (depending on plan choice), with no limit per claim.
	Reimbursement Options	You select one of 3 reimbursement levels (90%, 80%, or 70%). Based on your selection, your policy covers the actual veterinary bills for costs arising from any injury or illness, less the veterinary exam fee and your selected annual deductible. Same reimbursement level also applies to higher emergency & specialty vet costs.	Three reimbursement levels are available: 100%, 90%, or 80% Based on your reimbursement level choice, policy covers reasonable costs arising from an accident or illness, less the per incident deductible shown above. Note: Coverage is reduced to 80% if you take your pet to the following: A veterinarian referred specialist An emergency care veterinary facility* An after-hours clinic* An accredited school/college of veterinary medicine *except for a life-saving emergency consultation Note : Also, the usual and customary fee for a given treatment or procedure within the geographic area in which fees are incurred is applied, which can result in reduced payout.
