| I’ve not had health insurance for my dogs before. After a very expensive surgery for my first lab, I decided to get health insurance for my second rescued lab. I used petinsurancereview.com and chose Healthy Paws based on reviews. Wow what a great company Healthy Paws is! Recently my lab apparently was nauseated and ingested many leaves and a rope ball toy (gallon-size ziploc bag full!) and needed surgery to remove this stuff from her stomach. The bill was $4000 and Healthy Paws paid all the charges (no haggling or reductions) at exactly what my plan specified and within a week! They also keep checking in with me to see how she is doing. It's so refreshing to have such prompt, caring and personal service from an insurance company. My lab has better health care coverage with Healthy Paws, and at a reasonable monthly rate, than I do (I’m self-employed), can I sign up? I will never have another dog without having Healthy Paws insurance. Thank you so much Healthy Paws, you are the best!! Show Less |

| I don't usually send emails like this, but Healthy Paws service has been so outstanding I had to let everyone know! As you know, pets are like extended family members just with 4 legs and Sarge is no different to me. | Junior is our 12 year old Jack Russell mix baby. To say that we love her with all of our hearts would be an understatement. We purchased Healthy Paws pet insurance in August of 2010. In February of 2011 she was diagnosed with diabetes and Cushings Disease, this is a long story so bear with me, Healthy Paws covered it. Three months later Junior went blind from cateracts. Since we couldn't stand to see baby suffer we elected to have surgery. The cateracts were a preexisting condition and so it was not covered. As junior recovered from her surgery she developed glaucoma in her left eye, and after a month of numerous doctor visits and very expensive medications, her eye had to be removed. Healthy Paws covered these expenses without flinching. Junior is doing very well these days. She still has to visit the doctor (Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine) on a regular basis to keep her diseases managed. This is very expensive and without Healthy Paws we could not afford it. Her monthly prescriptions alone more than justify the monthly insurance premiums. I would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who loves their pet. They have been a life saver and without them I'm afraid we wouldn't have our baby with us today. Show Less |

| We researched various companies for a long time and were reluctant to spend $$$ on pet insurance when most companies have all sorts of esoteric rules and spending caps and such. We skeptically enrolled - but Healthy Paws has delivered every single time we needed it so far. We only enrolled our Shepherd/Lab mix girl who is now 9 yrs old in January 2011. They have paid multiple claims for surgeries and biopsies that were totally unexpected very promptly and with an explanation of what is and isn't covered. The latest claim was over $3000 and it was paid! This isn't a gimmick, it really is great coverage. Their customer service is top notch and they let you know up front what is preexisting and what isn't (this is important esp in an older dog and important to find out) but anything not preexisting has been covered to the full extent that we elected (90% w/$250 deductible). I wish we had heard of Healthy Paws when our girl was a youngster! Thank you! Show Less |

It turns out he had split a toe bone in half long-ways (a slab fracture) and this sort of fracture can be very challenging to heal. Healthy Paws was right there with a reimbursement check, literally within 4 days from onset of injury. Additionally, the Healthy Paws staff were very helpful with ideas about how to best maximize Ozzy's chance of full recovery. Ozzy and I are both very grateful for their help and for the excellent vet care he is receiving. Show Less |

Lacy & Roscoe
Lacy rescued Roscoe from a Seattle adoption group as a puppy. When he was hit by a car at ten months old she didn't have pet insurance and had to pay for everything herself. She just signed Roscoe up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance because you never know what can happen next, and she could've saved herself almost $7,000 if Roscoe had been covered when he was in that car accident.

Terri & Grim
Terri is the executive director of Homeward Pet Adoption Center and has her boy, Grim, insured with Healthy Paws. Through her pet adoption group, she sees firsthand how Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation gives back to adoption groups across the country - and how much we care about keeping pets happy and healthy.
|
Selina & Gracie
Selina has insured her pets with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance because she knows how expensive veterinary bills can cost. It took a $1,000 vet visit to send her looking for pet insurance, and now she's glad that Gracie and all her other pets are protected. All of her pets are adopted, so she loves that Healthy Paws is passionate about working with local nonprofit adoption groups across the country.

Brad & Hogan
Hogan is Brad's little buddy. He's had him since Hogan was five and a half weeks old and wanted to make sure he shopped around before signing him up for pet insurance. After doing a lot of research, Brad chose Healthy Paws because of our transparency and easy-to-understand pet insurance dog health plan.

Stacy & Felix
Stacy wanted to be sure that she didn't have to worry about facing unexpected veterinary bills and making any "tough decisions." She comforted in knowing that Felix is covered by Healthy Paws for any accident or illness.
|
Michael & Bambi
To Michael, buying pet insurance just makes sense. He insured his 4-month-old French Bulldog, Bambi, because he knows that veterinary bills can add up. Michael also likes the peace of mind that comes along with knowing that his pet is covered by Healthy Paws no matter what happens.
