If you’re a pet parent to a pup or cat or two pups (or more!), you probably worship the apps that help keep you organized and make it easy to give your pets the best care possible. Whether you’re new to pet tech or a seasoned pro, check out six of our favorite apps for fur moms and dads:

PetCube

Not only can you keep an eye on your dog while you’re away through the camera, PetCube allows you to throw ’em a bone too! Well, not so much a bone, but lots of treats. Simply link up your phone to a camera or the treat dispenser device, and check in at will. Your pups will love it. While the app is free on iOS and Android, the bells and whistles can run from $179 to $408.

Whistle 3

The Whistle GPS collar and accompanying app has been a lifesaver for our colleagues and Whistle-users alike. Attach the Whistle GPS Pet Tracker to your pet’s collar, pair the device to the Whistle app, and you can track your dog’s daily activity on your phone, get alerts when they leave their home area, and locate them immediately should they get lost. (Tracker is $99.95 with a $6.95 – 9.95/month plan charge; app is available for free on iOS and Android)

5 favorite apps

Rover

Rover is easily one of our favorite apps for dog walking, sitting, day care, drop-in visits, and boarding services. Location-based, you can peruse nearby care providers, set up meet-n-greets, even book mobile grooming so you can go about your day, knowing your pup is cared for! You even pay on the app, so it’s an all-inclusive experience. (Free on iOS; free on Android)

Healthy Paws

We’re a little biased on this one! The Healthy Paws Pet Insurance app not only allows you to easily submit a claim from anywhere—simply take a photo of your vet bill— but you can also update your billing information, check claim status, refer a friend (get $35!) and get pet parenting tips on our blog. (Free on iOS; free on Android)

SniffSpot

Kind of like Airbnb for pup playtime, SniffSpot was designed to provide safe off-leash exercise and training areas for reactive dogs, shy dogs, dogs that don’t like dog parks, or people who don’t necessarily have access to a dog park. This genius app lets you book a private area for your dog (or a couple dogs) so they can safely play without the fear of dog fights, car accidents, spreading disease, or whatever else may keep you from public dog play. (Free on iOS; free on Android)

We love our pets like family (and we hope you feel the same!), so we take care of them like family. By enrolling in Healthy Paws pet insurance, you can save up to 90% on vet bills, which means never having to turn down crucial treatment or a life-saving procedure.
