We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

MEET LUCY.

Age/Gender/Size: 3 Yrs./Spayed Female/60 Lbs.
Breed: Cattle Dog Mix
Likes: Puzzle toys, squeaky toys, and hot dogs!
Dislikes: Sitting still; also, not fond of other pets or kids.
Special Considerations: Experienced adopter ideal: Lucy is a flight risk and must always leashed or tethered, and a 6-foot fence is required. She is also on medication for stress.
Notes:  Lucy won the Smarty Pants Award from the staff at Emerald City Pet Rescue!

Lucy’s a beautiful, fun-loving Cattle Dog mixed breed pup who has mastered “sit,” “down,” and “roll over” – and now she’s ready for more! She’s all puppy at heart: she loves to run, romp, fetch and tug, so if you’re active too, you could really have a lot of fun together!

Lucy likes adults and loves to play fetch and show off her skills – especially if there’s a hot dog involved. She is very smart and eager to learn more!

Lucy will need an experienced dog-person to adopt her. She’s a flight risk and must always be leashed or tethered outside; a 6-foot fence is required for adoption. She also doesn’t get along too great with other pets or kids, and the shelter recommends she not attend dog parks and that she should always be muzzled when out of the house. She’s also on medication for stress.

If you’re interested in adopting Lucy, please contact Emerald City Pet Rescue via their website or by calling 206-557-4661 to find out more of these special consideration details. She’s otherwise healthy, and has been fully vetted, spayed and has her vaccinations. Let’s find a forever home for Lucy!

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
