We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

MEET BARRY.

Age/Gender/Size: 5 yrs, male, medium
Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog mix
Likes: Walks, runs and hanging out with his humans.
Dislikes: Being startled or surprised.
Special Considerations:While he has been known to enjoy cuddling with kitties and romping with pups, he needs a refresher in sharing!
Notes:  Barry is an athlete who needs a job! Have you got one for him?

This smart guy is looking for a home that can learn about him and his breed, a Catahoula Leopard Dog. This is a herding breed that is extremely protective and loyal to their family. Barry will thrive in a home where he is a treasured member of the family, and is understood and loved the way he deserves to be. Barry is a healthy pup who needs plenty of activity, and the Everett Animal Shelter describes him as “an athlete who needs a job”! What, you ask, is Barry’s favorite chore? Running or hiking with you!

Barry comes across as timid but will bond closely with his people. This gentleman has lived with dogs and cats before, but they may need the standard meet-and-greet for compatibility. Barry’s a favorite of everyone who knows him, and he’ll be the most loyal best friend you’ll ever have. Are you his human?

If you’re interested in adopting Barry, please contact Everett Animal Rescue via their website or by calling (425) 257-6000. He’s been fully vetted, neutered and vaccinated. Help us to find a forever home for Barry!

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
