Dogs aren’t just animals, they’re our furry best friends! No matter what happens in life, they’re there for us, licking our tears of joy and sadness, listening to our hopes and dreams (without judgment!), nuzzling us awake and falling asleep by our side. And in return for our caregiving and company, we get unquestionable devotion (and maybe a lot of slobbery kisses).

While we adore our bright-eyed, bushy-tailed fur babies for their love and companionship, did you also know how much they affect our health and well-being? In honor of World Health Day on April 7th, we thought we’d share the good news about how your dog can help you be healthier. Below, we’ve got health facts about how our beloved pups can improve and possibly even save our lives. Additionally, if you’d like to know more about pets and wellness, check out HABRI’s Pet Effect research and findings.
