Why Not Me? Meet Leon!
We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.
MEET LEON.
Age/Gender/Size: 2 years / Male / Medium
Breed: Pittie-Shar Pei mix
Likes: Loves to do anything outdoors
Dislikes: Cats
Special Considerations: Leon has a ton of energy and needs a yard where he can run around
Meet Leon! Leon is a handsome Pittie-Shar Pei mix with the cutest ears and curled tail. Leon is approximately two years old, which means he is a lot of fun and full of energy. He has never found a ball he didn’t want
to chase, stick he didn’t want to carry, or scent that didn’t need sniffing! Leon loves to go for walks and would make a great hiking, jogging, or walking buddy. Not only is he a super playful pup, he is a complete sweetheart! He loves to snuggle in the evenings, especially after a busy day of fun.
Leon previously spent some time in foster care where he got to work on his indoor manners, such as house training and acting calmly. Leon’s ideal family would have a house (no apartments) with a securely fenced-in yard where he can safely run and play. He needs a home without children under 10, and no cats.
If you are looking for an energetic best friend to share your life with, then this boy might be the dog for you! Leon has been fully vetted and spayed by the Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA. He is currently being housed in an area that is out of public view and you won’t see him when walking through the main kennel, so please set up an appointment at the front desk, or call (360) 692-6977. You can also email: customerservice@kitsap-humane.org.
Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
