Why Not Me? Meet Esme!
We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.
Age/Gender/Size: 4 Yrs. | Female | Medium (42lbs)
Breed: Pit bull mix
Likes: Regular pup stuff! Snuggling, playing, snacking, and fetching
Dislikes: Other dogs, other pets/animals
Special Considerations: Must have a yard to adopt Esme
Esme (and sometimes “Ezzie”) has been at Collar of Hope in Olalla, Washington for over two years. While she’s been comfortably snuggling up to her foster family during this time, she’s still waiting for that special forever home to call her own.
Esme is easy-going – she loves to cuddle, go for car rides, long walks, or play fetch in the backyard. She loves being around people, and wants to be included as much as possible. The shelter reports that she’s good on a leash, crate-trained, and even docile in the car. She’s also – as you can see – a beauty! With a unique coloring of fawn merle and brindle, and a really cool blue patch in one of her eyes, she’s a stunning dog.
Her foster recommends that Esme must be an “only dog.” She does not like other dogs or any other pets, especially smaller animals. Additionally, Collar of Hope shelter states that her new family must be homeowners (no apartments) with a securely fenced yard. Breed knowledge and experience is required in her potential applicants.
Esme has been fully vetted and is ready for a forever home from Collar of Hope in Olalla, WA. As Collar of Hope is foster based, you must set up an appointment to meet this beautiful girl.
