We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

MEET TULIP O’HARE.

Breed: Terrier, American Pit Bull / Mix
Age/Gender/Size: 1 year & 1month / Female / Large at 50lbs
Likes: A bundle of energy, Tulip likes to play!
Dislikes: Tulip should be a 2nd (or 3rd!) dog in the house
Special Considerations: Tulip and her brothers suffered from parvo. She was the only survivor of her litter. She is in great health now!

Tulip is a playful, silly girl who is a tiny bit mischievous! She is house- and crate-trained; she sleeps and eats in her crate at her foster home now. Tulip likes other dogs and enjoys their company, and she may even do well dog-savvy cats.

Tulip was surrendered to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue when her original owners discovered she and the other puppies had parvo. She was the sole survivor of the litter.

NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME:

Especially due to isolation as a puppy, Tulip requires another large breed, adult male companion. She really relies on and takes cues from her “big” brothers and sisters.

Tulip is almost a year old but still very much a puppy – she’s playful with a lot of energy! She likes to run it off at daycare or playing with her foster siblings and even then she might still have some energy left when she gets home. Because of this, she would benefit from a relatively active household, one where she can go out and walk, jog, or hike with you, as she likes to explore.

Tulip knows her training, but like any adolescent, you must enforce the rules with her or she will take a mile. She knows “sit” and “wait,” and she’s trained to heel, but her new family will need to continue this education and structure for her, ensuring she will indeed grow into a model citizen!

Tulip is very friendly, but is a tiny bit shy at first. She takes a couple minutes to get to know you but after that she’s all fun and games. She has lived with kids, dogs and cats and has been very successful in her foster home.

Tulip is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Find out more at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue in Redmond, WA by visiting their website: www.motleyzoo.org or shoot them an email at adopt@motleyzoo.org  to begin adopting Tulip.
