Why Not Me? Meet Aurora!

We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

 MEET AURORA!

Breed: Mixed Breed

Age/Gender/Size: 6 years/Female/Medium (30 – 60 lbs)

Likes: Swimming, hiking & brain-teasers

Special Considerations: Best suited for an active household with no other dogs or kids

Meet Aurora! She is one-of-a-kind, with her special smile and super fun personality! Though she is 6 years old, you would never guess it, as Aurora has the energy and get-up-and-go of a dog half her age. She is currently residing with the caregivers at Pasado’s Safe Haven and has been waiting for her forever home for about 4 years now – she has spent all but 1 year of her life without a family to call her very own.

Aurora showers her caregivers with kisses and excited wags and loves to be outdoors. She is keen on swimming and playing fetch, but knows how to relax like the best of ‘em by soaking up the sun and joyfully rolling around in the grass. Aurora would be the perfect companion for exploring the world! Don’t let her athleticism fool you though – Aurora is a wiley one, and loves mental stimulation in the form of puzzles, as well as displaying her prowess at learned commands. Aurora would greatly benefit from interactive puzzles & treat dispensing dog toys.

If you would like to learn more about Aurora, contact Pasado’s Safe Haven and ask about this charming little lady. She will steal your heart away and provide you the utmost love, loyalty and laughter! If you can’t adopt or foster, follow her story on Instragram at @Aurora_The.Explorer and tell your friends about her!

Like all dogs that are adopted from Pasado’s Safe Haven, Aurora is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
