- Progressive insurance offerings are administered by Pets Best or Companion Protect. Plan offerings vary by state.
- While there is no annual limit for Pets Best's most expensive plan, other plans have an annual claim payout limit of $5,000 or $10,000.
- The Healthy Paws plan covers rehabilitative, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. Only the most expensive offering via Pets Best covers these treatments.
- Pets Best has a bilateral condition clause that says if there was a pre-existing bilateral condition, the other side won't be covered. This extends to any condition that might affect one side of the body including cataracts, patellar luxation, and more. The Healthy Paws plan has only one bilateral exclusion for cruciate ligament injuries.
Choose Progressive if you want coverage for routine care. Their Pets Best plan offerings include optional add-ons for wellness care for an additional cost. Healthy Paws one simple plan does not include coverage for wellness as it is meant for unexpected accidents and illnesses.
