Compare Healthy Paws and Toto Insurance Policies

When comparing Healthy Paws to Toto, pet parents should be aware that Toto is a newcomer to the industry. This means that there are not a lot of customer reviews yet to confirm their coverage, they’re not available in all 50 states, and it can be confusing to navigate their various plans.

What to Consider Healthy Paws Toto
No Maximum Payout Limits; No per-incident, annual or lifetime caps on payouts. Depends on plan purchased
Customer Rating at ConsumersAdvocate.org 9.8 N/A
Included            Not included or some exclusions

Coverage Limited by Location
Toto has launched and is available in only 30 states. Due to this location issue, multiple testers could not receive a quote for coverage. Additionally, Toto only processes claims via a claim form that must be sent via email, mail, or fax. Healthy Paws is available in all 50 states, and you can easily submit your claim via our app or website with a quick picture of your invoice (or pdf). 99% of claims are processed within two days.

Expensive, Confusing Plan Choices
With Toto, there are many different plan choices for the customer to make, which can be confusing to navigate and difficult, especially if you might not understand what’s covered and what’s not. Customers can choose a co-insurance and deductible but must also make a choice on annual payout limits ($2,500, $7,500, $10,000, $15,000, and $20,000). When our testers went to purchase a plan, their monthly premium was suddenly higher than previously stated and included a surprise monthly service fee.

Instead of charging extra for more coverage and more inclusive plans, Healthy Paws offers just one plan that covers new accidents and illnesses. We want to make it easy for our customers to understand what’s included in our plan and to be covered if the unexpected happens. For example, if you’re looking for rehabilitative, acupuncture, and chiropractic care, Healthy Paws has it covered, and we don’t have any annual payout caps.

Healthy Paws has an easy-to-understand plan that covers new accidents and illnesses. Our customers agree and have given Healthy Paws the highest rating at Consumers Advocate, Canine Journal, and many more review sites.
