Terms and Conditions

NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO VOTE

  1. Purpose. Healthy Paws Foundation has selected six non-profit animal rescue organizations to compete in a grant challenge (the "Rescue Race"). The six non-profit animal organizations competing in the Rescue Race during the Voting Period noted herein are: Forgotten Cats, Furever We Love, HART for Animals, Looking Glass Animal Rescue, Pound Hounds ResQ., and St. Tammany Animal Resource Team (S.T.A.R.T.) (each, an "Eligible Rescue Entity" and collectively, "Eligible Rescue Entities").
  2. Eligibility to Vote. Voting is open to individuals in the United States (including the District of Columbia and territories) excluding residents of Alabama, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, or South Carolina who are 18 years of age or older. Employees, officers and directors of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and Healthy Paws Foundation are not eligible to vote in the Rescue Race. All federal, state and local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Voting is void where prohibited by law.
  3. Sponsor. The Rescue Race is sponsored by Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, 11120 NE 33rd Pl, Suite 200, Bellevue, WA 98004. ("Sponsor") who is administering the voting on behalf of Healthy Paws Foundation (11120 NE 33rd Pl, Suite 200, Bellevue, WA 98004) ("Grantor").
  4. Voting Period. Voting commences on November 5th, 2019 12:01am PDT and terminates on November 19th, 2019 at 11:59pm PDT. Sponsor's website is the official timekeeper of the Rescue Race.
  5. Voting Process. To vote for an Eligible Rescue Entity, voters are required to vote on the Rescue Race website page at healthypawspetinsurance.com/rescue-race. Only one vote per person is permitted. The use of any agencies or automated software to submit entries will void all entries submitted by that person.
  6. Winner Selection. At the conclusion of the Voting Period, Sponsor will determine the ranking of the Eligible Rescue Entities based on the number of eligible votes each Eligible Rescue Entity received during the Voting Period.
  7. Grants. One (1) $20,000 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity which received the highest number of votes during the Voting Period; one (1) $15,000 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity with the second highest number of votes received during the Voting Period; one (1) $12,500 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity with the third highest number of votes received during the Voting Period; one (1) $10,000 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity with the fourth highest number of votes received during the Voting Period; one (1) $7,500 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity with the fifth highest number of votes received during the Voting Period and one (1) $5,000 grant will be awarded to the Eligible Rescue Entity with the lowest number of votes received during the Voting Period . Each Eligible Rescue Entity is only entitled to one grant.
  8. Results. The ranking of the Eligible Rescue Entities will be announced on Healthy Paws' website and social media pages after within five (5) business days following conclusion of the Voting Period.
  9. Limitation of Liability and Release. BY VOTING IN THE RESCUE RACE, VOTERS AGREE THAT SPONSOR, GRANTOR AND ITS AFFILIATES AND EACH OF THEIR PARENT COMPANIES, RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATED ENTITIES, MEMBERS, SHAREHOLDERS, DIVISIONS, PREDECESSORS, SUCCESSORS, REPRESENTATIVES, ASSIGNS AND ATTORNEYS, (COLLECTIVELY, THE "RELEASED PARTIES") HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND VOTERS SHALL HOLD THE RELEASED PARTIES HARMLESS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, CLAIMS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM VOTING IN THE RESCUE RACE.
  10. General Conditions. By submitting a vote, a voter constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding. The Rescue Race and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to any conflict of laws principles. Jurisdiction and venue of any dispute concerning the Grants, the Rescue Race or these Terms and Conditions shall be vested solely in the appropriate courts within the State of Illinois. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Subject to any governmental approval that may be required, Sponsor reserves the right to, without prior notice and at any time, terminate the Rescue Race, in whole or in part, or modify the contest in any way, should any factor interfere with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Terms and Conditions. In such case, Sponsor may select the amount of a grant to each Eligible Rescue Entity from all eligible votes received prior to such action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers or attempts to tamper with the voting process or the operation of the Rescue Race. Any attempt by a person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Rescue Race may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  11. Privacy. Any information collected through the Rescue Race shall be used only in a manner consistent with the Sponsor's Online Privacy Policy which can be found at https://www.healthypawspetinsurance.com/privacypolicy
